LIFE intends to implement an intervention to strengthen access to justice for LGBT survivors of Gender-based Violence through the Lagos State Protection Against Domestic Violence Law.

Inter-Cultural Learning for Peace Project (2016)

This project which was funded by the United Nations Alliance of Civilization (UNAOC) through the Youth Solidarity fund 2015/2016 aimed at engaging religious leaders and youths in an effort to promote peace and mutual understanding between internally displaced persons and their host communities in 6 Local Council Development Areas in Lagos, Nigeria. As part of this project the psychosocial needs of young survivors were identified and referred for counselling and therapy in the 6 LCDAs. A total of 30,000 beneficiaries were sensitized on peace-building and the protection of children

The Women Deliver Conference in Kigali, Rwanda

The Women Deliver Conference in Kigali, Rwanda, took place from July 17th to 21st, 2023, aimed at addressing gender inequality, women’s rights, and maternal health. The event attracted over 6,000 attendees, including policymakers, researchers, and activists. The conference focused on maternal health, emphasizing the need to protect women’s well-being during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. The conference provided networking opportunities and amplitude the impact of gender-related initiatives.
